Happy Women’s Day!

I invite my fellow female friends, colleagues, and others to join me in celebrating Women’s Day with the theme “Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.”

As a Deaf Asian woman who enjoys sports, works daily, and travels extensively, I encounter gender inequality and limited opportunities in Western society. For instance, deaf women lack financial support to develop their sports skills and compete at national and international levels.

Women, particularly those from cultural minorities or intersectional identities, continuously strive for better opportunities and gender equality. It’s time to bridge these gaps, clear obstacles, and pave smoother paths for women to excel and achieve their goals.

Let’s remember that Women’s Day should be celebrated every day, not just annually.
