Shirley Liu is an Inspirational Youth Presenter, a Community & Accessibility Advocate, Digital Designer, founder of Creative Mint Digital, a design and digital Australian company. She is also the President of the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section. Shirley has achieved a great deal and contributed a lot to her community.
Leadership means guiding people to a point where they have the confidence to continue by themselves to achieve their goals. In many communities, Shirley enjoys collaborating with other people that have similar interests and thrive on personal skill development.
The World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section (WFDYS) advocates for equal human rights of deaf youth in the world. They do this through leadership and human rights training in which they aim to empower deaf youth.
Deaf Youth Australia is a not for profit organisation established in 2013 that is dedicated to representing the interests of deaf youth in Australia. DYA is a Youth Ordinary Member of WFDYS.
The Deaf Community are a group of people who have a shared language, history, culture, values and common experiences.
Community advocacy is an opportunity for the community to work together to break down barriers and raise awareness about issues that affect them.
While Shirley pursues her professional career, she also enjoys giving her time to supporting community events, activities and creative design projects.
