AusPol 2022 – Where is Auslan?

Australia will have a Federal Election in May 2022, which means all parties are now working on effective campaigns to attract the voters. Generally, most people do not care who to vote for or pretend to vote for, particularly deaf people who miss out a LOT of information. Accessibility is a joke; such as no provision of captions or Auslan interpreters being present at any campaign events or leaders’ debates. Shirley wants to make a difference for the Deaf Community, even if most of them are not interested. What IS important is to receive information that is understood; they have the right to know the information and are able to make informed decisions to vote rather than follow their peers or pretend to vote.
